Automated power consumption control and measurement system purpose
Automated power consumption control and measurement systems provide fiscal and technical record-keeping of consumption and supply of electric power and operational control of the current load.

The effect of automated power consumption control and measurement system introduction:
  • improved quality of measuring of power resources, as well as efficiency and reliability of the information;
  • allowing closer adherence to the specified mode of production and consumption of electric power (congestion control, compliance with a given load schedule, and so on.);
  • providing an option to reduce power loss.

  • measuring the volume and quality parameters of supply or consumption of power resources;
  • controlling supply or consumption of power resources at all metering points and facilities at predetermined time intervals;
  • collecting, processing, storing and displaying the information on power supply or consumption;
  • simultaneous providing of data for all metering points;
  • on-line monitoring and real-time load controlling;
  • balance calculating for facility and the entire system;
  • measuring power losses in the wiring diagrams;
  • controlling serviceability of metering devices and computer equipment.

The automated power consumption control and measurement system also provides:
  • an option of data transferring to a corporate data network of a power enterprise;
  • an option of system configuring and creating report forms (data for the report forming is selected from the database automatically or on request of the operator);
  • recording violations of system standard operating mode in the event log for analyzing by operational dispatch and maintenance personnel.

Structure of an automated power consumption control and measurement system

An automated power consumption control and measurement system of a power enterprise consists of three levels with hierarchical information processing system:
  • EvroALFA interval meters, signal converters, electric power sources of signal converters;
  • Networked data acquisition and transmission units RTU-300, (provided with information-sharing modules with EvroALFA meters, workstations of upper-level and external system);
  • Automatic working stations of operating and dispatching personnel provided with units of communication with data acquisition and transmission units.
